Navan Theatre Group is an amateur drama and theatre group based in Navan, County Meath. We have a diverse and growing membership.

Since 1991 we have performed a full length play each November and more recently have performed one acts plays in the spring. We are also committed to developing skills within the group and this year we have commenced a number of workshops for members.

We rehearse in the Community Centre in Navan and our performances take place in Solstice Arts Centre, Navan.

We would be delighted to hear from people interested in joining our group and assisting with all aspects of our productions.

A Night of One Acts

(28th - 30th November 2024)

Four diverse pieces of theatre. One central theme of family. Audiences will be brought on a journey through marriage, parenthood, growing older in life and the cost of hidden family secrets. A night at the theatre that will see you both laughing and reflecting on life’s milestones in equal measure.

The line-up each night will include Cold Feet by Brad Sytsma, New Mums and Little Bums by Áine Murray, Went a Furze-Smashing by Diarmuid McGuinness, and From Eden by Stephen Jones.

Navan Theatre Group is proud to announce that two of this year’s pieces have been written by the group’s own members: New Mums and Little Bums by Áine Murray, and the winner of the best overall script award at this year’s Page to Stage Festival at Wexford Arts Centre, Went a Furze-Smashing by Diarmuid McGuinness.

Making their directorial debut with the group this November are Sharon Carroll, Jerry Comyn and Áine Murray, alongside award-winning Navan Theatre Group director, Clare Atkinson.
